Nutty Butter Filling
If mint and chocolate isn't your thing, try this nutty butter filling. Packed with cashew butter and peanut butter, these will remind you of the Reese's you grew up with, but with nutrition that avoids the sugar slump. Simply follow the recipe as posted on the last post, switching the filling accordingly.
1/3 cup (100 grams) peanut butter
1/3 cup (100 grams) cashew butter
2 medjool dates, pitted
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon ashwanghanda (optional, but gives an herbal energy boost)
pinch of sea salt
topping: 1 tablespoon peanuts, chopped + 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon + pinch of sea salt
Mix all of the ingredients in a food processor until the dates are broken down and the filling smooth. Continue with the recipe.
